One thing I have started to learn in my travels is that there are different types of comic book shops. There are shops that focus on trades, there are shops that focus on statues and toys, there are shops that focus on carrying all new releases, and there are shops that focus on more of the indie books. Then, there are the backbone comic books stores, the ones that exemplify all the positive things you think of when someone mentions a comic book shop. Small space filled to the brim with printed media, action figures and statues; friendly shopkeep that knows his or her stuff about the hobby and won’t talk down to you, and the shop smells like old paper and ink and not like old feet.

Comic Madness is one of those shops that are the backbone of the industry. They are a solid retailer that is an asset for those who live in the area that need their comic fix. It’s not a place I would tell you to go out of your way to visit, but if you’re in the area, I would strongly recommend you drop in and give them your patronage.

Comic Madness is located in a strip mall on the east side of Mountain Ave. just south of the 60 Freeway in Chino.
